		<description>It is true that many people are finding ways to &quot;spend down&quot; so that the government can pay for their long-term care.  What they don&#039;t realize is that the care they receive will be far inferior to the care that they could get if they use their own funds and go into a smaller facility such as an Adult Family Home, which is a privately owned care home with a capacity of six residents.  These homes often get bad press, but there are many very good ones who give more personalized and loving care than a larger place is capable of.
